January 2022, the two original Thyratron C16J tubes were removed. They were replaced with the Scissio Controls, solid state, SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) circuit. This is a drop-in replacement for the Thyratron tubes originally supplied by Monarch. The replacement is assembled from ROHS compliant and other lead-free components.
